Meet the Tribe: Kristina Blunt

Meet the Tribe is an ongoing blog series where you’ll meet women who are leaders in their community and here at YogaClub. Our ambassadors, or Tribe Leaders as we call them, are fitness instructors, wellness professionals and just plain awesome women.

From Broadway performer to yoga festival creator, this Tribe Leader really knows how to do it BIG! She started her career dancing with The Lion King and now has 11 years under her yoga teaching belt. Wanting to make life a bit more interesting (and busy!), she created a yoga festival in her new home of Las Vegas called Vegas Gone Yoga! Festival. As one our Tribe Leaders who’s been with us since the beginning, we are beyond excited to introduce you to this Tribe Leader.

Meet Kristina Blunt.

Q: Let’s talk overall wellness. How do you maintain balance? A: My meditation practice grounds me and centers me. I get up at 6am before everyone else in my house, so I have the space to pause and notice. The simple practice of slowing down and paying attention to breath balances me for whatever life might throw my way.

Q: What advice can you give to someone looking to begin their fitness or wellness journey?

A: Rome wasn’t built in a day… be patient with yourself especially when beginning something new.

Q: What does being a Tribe Leader mean to you?

A: Being observant, seeing where you are needed, what is needed and how you can be of service. Then, rolling up your sleeves and diving in…no excuses!!!

Q: Do you have a quote or mantra that inspires you?

A: Whenever I feel overwhelmed because there are a flood of emails that need a response, a yoga class that needs to be planned, a pic that needs to be posted, child that wants my attention, or simply feeling like there are not enough hours in the day to accomplish the neverending to-do list. I take a deep breath and say, “Kris, you are doing the best that you can!”

Q: What’s your favorite thing about YogaClub?

A: The support. YogaClub is not just a company that wants influencers, they want people who are making a difference. YogaClub is doing amazing things for the community and looks for people to represent their brand who are doing the same. They have been so supportive of my yoga endeavors and encourage my creativity.

Q: Alright, let’s mix it up with some fun, quick fire questions. Fave YogaClub brand?

A: Niyama Sol

Q: What motivates you?

A: Self improvement and connection

Q: Favorite guilty pleasure:

A: Binge watching Netflix. Stranger Things and Orange is The New Black are some of my faves.

Q: What are you dying for in your next box?

A: Manduka gear!

Q: Current obsession:

A: Growing my own food. I just recently took up gardening.
