Meet the Tribe is an ongoing blog series where you’ll meet women who are leaders in their community and here at YogaClub. Our ambassadors, or Tribe Leaders as we call them, are fitness instructors, wellness professionals and just plain awesome women.
Starting her teaching journey three years ago, this Tribe Leader transformed her life and fell in love with yoga. With a husband in the military, her family (she has two daughters!) gets to enjoy a life of travel where they meet new people and experience new places. Mindful is one way to describe this Tribe Leader who takes time to express gratitude for the blessings in her life through her practice and her blog.
Meet June Seager.
Q:Let’s talk overall wellness. How do you integrate healthy eating and mindfulness into your daily life?
A: Moderation. In our house, we enjoy everything in moderation. We allow ourselves to enjoy the things we love from time-to-time so that we don’t feel a need to binge on things we have deprived ourselves of.
Q: What advice can you give someone who is looking to begin teaching?
A: If you want to become a yoga teacher, the best advice I can give is to educate yourself on the program you want to take and make sure that its goals and intentions line up with your own. Remember that even as a yoga teacher you will always be a student of yoga.
Q: How do you maintain balance?
A: My life is an ever changing balancing act. Just when I think I can get the scales balanced, something always gets dumped on one side. I have just started to learn that this is not necessarily a bad thing, it can be just what you need at times to realign your focus. Just remember not to let yourself get too overwhelmed by the things that you must do that you forget to do the things that you love.
Q: What motivates you?
A: My family is what motivates me. Most of all, I want to be the best version of myself for them.
Alright, let’s mix it up with some fun, quick fire questions.
Q: Do you have a quote or mantra that inspires you?
A: “Be the change you wish to see in the world” - Gandhi

A: Manduka & Threads for Thought
Q: Do you open your box right away or wait until you need a pick me up?
A: Right Away!
Q: Favorite yoga pose

Q: Current obsession?
A: Swoon Ice Cream, Cherry Pistachio Flavor
